John E. Beck, 74, of Oswego, IL passed away, Friday, December 25, 2009 at his home. He was born April 13, 1935 in Pickett, Arkansas, the son of Roscoe and Ruby (Woods) Beck. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He married Selma A. Stone on June 6, 1959 in Oswego, IL. He retired from Caterpillar in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Yorkville. His enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.
John is survived by his wife, Selma of Oswego, IL; one daughter, Cynthia Cooper of Aurora, IL; one granddaughter, Tina Coppens of Chicago, IL; three grandsons, John Cooper of Aurora, Travis and Tyler Beck of Leland; one great granddaughter, Jossalyn Coppens of Chicago, IL; one brother and three sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gregory.
