Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home Sandwich - Berdeane Wagner, 95, of Plano, IL passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Shabbona Health Care Center in Shabbona, IL. She was born April 12, 1914 in East Saint Louis, IL the daughter of Dave E. Anderson. She married Louis Wagner on July 2, 1932 in Somonauk, IL. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sandwich, IL. Berdeane and her husband Louis farmed in the Sandwich-Plano area their entire lives. She was active in the Daughter’s of The American Revolution. Berdeane and Louis devoted over thirty years working at the Sandwich Fair. She was an avid Genealogy researcher.

She is survived by one son, John (Kathy) Wagner of Sandwich, IL; two daughters, Loretta (Charles) Roux of Ottawa, IL and Mary Brendel of San Diego, CA; Eight grandchildren, Sara Brendel, Owen (Roxanne) Smith, Robert (Maureen) Roux, Theresa (Mike) Rettig, Diane Wagner, Ginger (Darrin) VanBibber, Kristina (Jason) Ross and Kelly (Ron) Stehman; Nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis in 1991, and one sister Pearl.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2010 at St. John Catholic Cemetery rural Somonauk, IL, with Reverend Andrew C. Hougan officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 8th from 10:00 a.m. at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home until time of services. Please accept my condolences for your family at this time in need. I am so sorry for your loss. Berdeane will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful person to know. May she now rest in peace. I send my sympathies to you all. Your mom was a person with a great deal of knowledge about the history of the area and the people, and many have profitted from her efforts to share what she knew. She's probably found a whole new group to discuss genealogy with by now. I am thinking of you... Kristy
