Donald P. “Whitey” Larkin, 49, of LaSalle formerly of Earlville, IL passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born July 12, 1960 in Mendota, IL the son of John and Lois (Foote) Larkin. Don graduated from Earlville High School in 1978. Don worked in the home construction industry as a carpenter, drywaller and cement finisher. He was a member of the Local #11 Cement Finishers of Northern Illinois.

He is survived by one sister, Carol (Bill) Witte of Marseilles, IL; two nieces, Janine Witte of Marseilles, IL and Michelle Witte of Naperville, IL; one uncle, Vincent “Ben” (Marjorie) Larkin of Earlville, IL; one aunt, Elva Despain of Mendota, IL, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville, IL with Rev. Chris G. Haake officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, IL.
