Lorene was a friend of mine starting at old Copley Hospital. We were on 3 West the last 3 years before I retired. She was always pleasant and we were "older" I remember well when she quit smoking so the money she saved would buy a new frig. Maybe part of our connection was we were both divorced. I lost track of her several years until we met again at Sr. Services and the deli at Countryside. I went once a month to an Alzheimers support group for my sister and had lunch before. Then a year or so ago I saw her sitting outside Heritage Woods on a Sun. when I would pick up a resident to take him to Oswego Pres. Church. She may not have really known who I was. Somehow I learned when she went to Hillside( I visited her a couple times when I was in Yorkville. She was a great gal. Sorry she had to go,but I hope her last days were calm and without pain.

My great Aunt Lorene was a great lady. She could always make you laugh. She also could tell you a great story about someone in the family. One of my favorite memories is one summer we were at my cousin Joe ann's house, we were all out side eating watermelon and I would eat the watermelon and the seeds. She would tell me "You are going to grow a watermelon in you stomach". From that day, everytime I eat watermelon, I think of her. I am going to miss her.

Aunt Renee was and will be remembered as a wonderful person. I have so many great memories of her from my early years, and to the last time we got to talk. The memories go back to so many Christmases, family gatherings and more. To Jo, Cliff and Linda, our family is so sorry for your loss, but you have been so blessed to have such a great mom.

Linda, time sure flies by, I still think of your mother's age as when you and jackie were high school and college age. That is how I will remember your mother. We have to keep in touch more often, I do catch up somewhat on the kids, whenever I talk with Bob. You have my sympathy.

To the famly of Rene- May the memories you have comfort you during this time of sorrow. Rene and I were friends during school. I have many fond memories of her from the old days as well as more recently get togethers and class reunions. I always enjoyed her sense of humor and company. Our group of friends will miss her.
