Turner-Eighner Funeral Home Plano - Ronald Fred Hodges, 70, of Minooka, formally of Aurora, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at Provena Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Illinois. He was born December 29, 1939 in Aurora, IL the son of Robert and Helen (Cox) Hodges. He married Bonnie Hagie on December 16, 1967 in Aurora. He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for Aurora School District 131 for over 20 years retiring in 2003.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; one daughter, Michelle (Mickey) Lee of Piper City; two sons, Robert Hodges of Minooka, Rodney Hodges of Iowa; five grandchildren; one sister, Karen (Jim) Pleskovith of Boulder Hill, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

I was so sorry to read of Ron's death. I enjoyed working with him at the East Aurora School District. He was always friendly and fun to visit with when he delivered the mail. He was a very good man and will be missed. Kathy Navota

Ron was always a joy to work with and be around. He always was friendly, smiling, and had a kind word for everyone. We would like to wish his family our most sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Ron was a real great guy to work with and he was always upbeat about everything. He could imrove your day just by showing up at your building. He will be missed.
