I am so sorry to read of Mrs. Guehler passing. What a sweet lady she was. I met her only briefly at Jebez, but was impressed with her kind way and loving care toward "Doc". I would like to extend my sympathy to the family members and tell you that I will be praying for all of you in the days ahead.

Now Shirley is in her heavenly home with Jesus. Hurray! Shirley was the nurse when our daughter, Lara, was born. From that day on, every time we saw Shirley and Doc, she would call me by name and ask about our daughter. She was a genuinely wonderful lady to know. Though I haven't seen her for a number of years, I do remember her. May Jesus comfort you whenever you think of your wife, mother, and grandmother.

I have fond memories of Doc and Stretch when I was growing up. I truly wish I could of been there with you at Shirley's visitation. Mom and Dad would of liked to have come but health issues kept us from attending, but you all are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless

Dear Rhonda, Sherrill and families: Everytime I saw your mom, she was wearing a BIG, contagious smile. She could always remember which "Haas girl" I was and call me by name. I'll always think of her with her signature smile and recall a genuinely happy lady. My deepest sympathies to your entire family.

What a shock to hear of Shirley's passing when the news arrived up here in Alaska. She has always had a special place in my heart - - - starting when I was young and Dennis was just a baby, spending many summner days on the farm , and continuing by correspondence with her throughout all of these years. She has never changed - - - always warm, personal, upbeat, and wearing a BIG smile. It was always a special pleasure to spend time with her. She will be greatly missed, but NEVER forgotten!
