Robert L. Gould, 85, of Rock Falls, IL, formerly of Sandwich, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. He was born April 16, 1925 in rural Mendota, IL the son of Lester and Ethel (Nowlin) Gould. He married Maxine Faye Datschefski on November 18, 1947 in Sandwich, IL He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WW II.
He is survived by one son, Donald (Fe) Gould of Sycamore, IL; two grandchildren, Areane Faith and Liberty Gould; one great grandson, Aiden Daniel Johnson; one sister, Judy (Richard) Garske of Morton, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Maxine in 2003; one son Vernon Gould; one sister, Eleanor Johnson and one brother, Leon Gould.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL, with Intern Pastor Andy Tyrrell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich.
